On September 18th, Beebee Cheng, as the annual exhibition of China’s "industrial weather vane", is characterized by "intelligence, interconnection — — The 21st China International Industry Fair with the theme of "Empowering the New Development of Industry" was held in Shanghai on 18th. At this year’s exhibition, "5G+ Industrial Internet" and "AI (Artificial Intelligence)+Manufacturing" became the highlights. With the help of new technologies, machines became "smart" and manufacturing was upgraded.

This five-day industrial fair has nine professional exhibition areas, covering the latest products and cutting-edge achievements of the whole industrial chain of intelligent green manufacturing from manufacturing basic materials and key components to advanced manufacturing equipment and overall solutions, attracting more than 2,600 enterprises from 27 countries and regions to participate.

In China Mobile’s "5G+ Intelligent Manufacturing" exhibition area, a number of innovative applications of "5G+ Industrial Internet" appeared. Among them, "5G Digital Twin System" is a "5G+" smart factory project jointly built by Shanghai Mobile and industrial chain partners. According to reports, the digital twin system of ZB415 intelligent unit based on 5G network can transmit the running status, parameters, sensor data and on-site monitoring video of remote equipment to the monitoring center in real time, so as to realize centralized control, fault alarm and predictive maintenance of smart factory production lines, and improve the production and operation efficiency of enterprises. Another "5G+" industrial inspection application can support industrial automation monitoring and control and promote the implementation of smart factories.

In China Telecom Exhibition Area, Tianyiyun Industrial Internet Platform has provided Internet platform services for a number of large industrial enterprises and small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises. According to the staff, in the past, industrial enterprises had the pain point that data collection was difficult and data between information systems could not communicate with each other. The platform focused on data collection, provided services for enterprises through data collection, modeling and analysis, and solved the problem of "data islands". With the advent of the 5G era, the industrial Internet platform combines the 5G features with industrial applications, and inserts powerful wings for the rapid development of industrial informatization.

Academia Sinica, a subsidiary of Jiangsu Hagong Intelligent Robot Co., Ltd. (referred to as Hagong Intelligent), also released two AI industrial aided design products at this fair. Qiao Hui, vice chairman and general manager of Harbin Institute of Technology Intelligence, said that artificial intelligence is entering more and more application scenarios, which contains great potential, and enterprises are taking this opportunity to promote industrial intelligence.

ABB, which takes robots as its core product, has also brought a series of solutions to help China manufacturers carry out mass customization and efficient production. ABB recently invested 150 million dollars to build a brand-new robot factory in Shanghai. Li Gang, head of ABB’s China Robotics and Discrete Automation Division, said at the Industrial Fair that the construction of the new factory is based on ABB’s confidence in the China market, and the China market still has great development potential in the future.
