Chengdu new energy taxis hit the road, consuming only 10 cents per kilometer of electricity
On July 5, Chengdu put into use new energy taxis.
New energy taxis are fully equipped.
Every kilometer, only a dime of electricity, every full charge can run for 12 hours, pure electric, zero emissions, no pollution… On the morning of July 5th, dozens of taxis with green new energy plates appeared at the south gate of Chengdu. These new energy taxis will be put into the streets and alleys of Chengdu. This year, Chengdu is expected to put in 4,400 pure electric new energy taxis.
Pure electric vehicles without pollution, 4,400 vehicles were put into use during the year
New energy vehicles are leading the transformation of human life to a low-carbon, environmentally friendly, smart and convenient way.
As a new first-tier city leader, Chengdu has responded to national policies in a timely manner and has been committed to promoting green development, advocating a green and low-carbon lifestyle, and walking at the forefront of green travel.
The reporter of West China Metropolis Daily and Cover News learned from the Chengdu Municipal Transportation Bureau that in order to effectively reduce urban automobile exhaust emissions and accelerate the construction of a green transportation system, more than 200 pure electric taxis have been put into operation in the city. It is expected that by the end of 2019, more than 4,400 pure electric taxis will be put into operation in the city.
It is reported that pure electric vehicles have the advantages of low cost of use, simple operation, environmental protection and energy saving. Replacing crude oil and gas dual-fuel taxis with pure electric taxis is conducive to reducing carbon emissions and improving the quality of the urban environment. At the same time, it is conducive to reducing the operating costs of the taxi industry and increasing driver income. It is conducive to improving the quality of taxi services and better meeting travel needs. It is conducive to enhancing the citizens’ experience of pure electric vehicle travel advantages and driving the development of new energy automobile industry.
It is reported that Chengdu’s new energy taxis use exclusive number plates, with the number segments being Sichuan ADT0000-ADT9999, Sichuan ADU0000-Sichuan ADU9999, and Sichuan ADV0000-Sichuan ADV9999.
It costs 10 cents per kilometer, and the freight is equivalent to that of a traditional taxi.
On the morning of July 5, a driver of a new energy taxi told reporters that compared with traditional taxis, the greatest advantage of new energy vehicles is that they save money.
He calculated an account for the reporter. If it was to burn natural gas, a taxi would need about three cents of fuel to run a kilometer, while after replacing it with a new energy vehicle, it would only cost about a dime per kilometer, which would reduce the cost of the vehicle by a lot.
Not only has the cost been reduced, but new energy taxis have also made many improvements in the facilities in the car, such as the installation of high definition cameras, the installation of reminders, if the driver is tired driving, the machine will remind in time, and in the car condition, the new car is also much better than the old car.
Regarding the freight rate of new energy taxis, the reporter learned from the Chengdu Municipal Transportation Bureau that the freight standard of pure electric cruise taxis in the five urban areas of Chengdu is in accordance with the relevant requirements and standards of the "Notice of Chengdu Price Bureau on Adjusting the freight rate of taxis in the central urban area" (Chengjiagong [2010] No. 138). Specifically, the Geely EV450 pure electric taxi that has been put into operation this time has been included in the second-grade model and implemented with reference to the freight rate of the second-grade model. First, the basic rental price is 9 yuan, and the rental price per kilometer is 1.9 yuan, which is the same as the original Suiteng 1.4T and 2.0L models in the five urban areas.
That is to say, the freight of new energy taxis is the same as that of traditional taxis. (West China Metropolis Daily – Cover News Reporter Li Zhi)
